Starting Out...

• The Private Pilots License (PPL). The PPL lets you fly privately (ie not for reward) anywhere in Australia with up to 6 passengers.

Further Horizons

• The Commercial Pilots License (CPL). This license is similar to the PPL however it allows you to fly for reward. As such, there are higher standards of flying required. A Commercial Pilots License is a requirement if you want to earn money as pilot.
• Further Ratings and Endorsements. Whether you are a PPL or CPL, you can expand the range and type of aircraft you can fly, as well as the time of day and type of weather you can fly in, by adding various ratings and endorsements to your license.
• Job Opportunities. What kind of jobs are available in aviation?

Theory & Ground School

All of these licenses, ratings, and endorsements require some form of theory. Civil offers a range of ground school options to suit your objectives, learning style and budget.
